The Great North Children’s Hospital

As the official charity for The Great North Children’s Hospital, we support the children, young people and their families who come to the hospital for treatment and care, making their experience the best it possibly can be. 

Our new Every Step campaign highlights how The Great North Children’s Hospital is there every step of the way, helping patients and families feel supported, no matter where they are in their journey.  

Our impact

How we support the hospital 

Hospitals can often be a scary place and thanks to our generous supporters and fundraisers we fund a range of projects to help make the hospital more welcoming for children, dedicated to supporting their needs. We also help fund lifechanging research, cutting-edge equipment and technology so the clinical and research teams at the Great North Children’s Hospital can deliver better care to their patients. 

An excellent example is our Arts Programme which aims to enhance the wellbeing and recovery of patients across Newcastle Hospitals. 

  • It has been so fabulous seeing the impact that the sessions have had. The children have been talking about it and we have used some of the artwork to help them in clinic…we have seen a huge impact.
