How we use your donations
Newcastle Hospitals Charity raises funds for research, people, equipment, and for capital projects at GNCH allowing the Trust to go further for its young patients. Here are a few examples:
- Sensory equipment for neurodiverse babies and children, and gaming karts and VR sets to distract and help soothe our patients during procedures.
- A hardship fund dedicated to supporting families of younger patients to help with the unexpected costs of attending hospital for treatment.
- Music and arts therapy sessions to make a child’s stay at hospital less daunting, including storytelling, live music in hospital wards, and creative arts.
- Accommodation for families facing end of life care, providing comfort and a safe haven.
