Many people choose to run in memory of a loved one. Or to say thank you for cancer treatment they have received. Or simply as a challenge to get a little bit fitter. Whatever your reasons for wanting to take part, please consider running for our charity.
Each year, we have a limited number of charity places available for Great North Run and runners are asked to cover a registration fee and pledge to raise £250 in sponsorship.
If you already have a Great North Run place and would like to raise funds for us, please get in touch with us here.
Whether you’re dressed as a gorilla, adorned in your football’s team’s colours, or running in a flamingo costume, your support will help us support the work of Newcastle Hospitals helping patients across the North East and beyond.
Our charity places for this year’s Great North Run have now sold out.
Do you have your own place?
If you already have a place in the Great North Run 2026 and would like to raise funds for Newcastle Hospitals Charity, you can still join our team today by signing up as an own place runner.
