Storytelling, in partnership with Seven Stories, offers bespoke storytelling sessions across paediatric services at Great North Children’s Hospital, RVI and the Children’s Heart Unit at Freeman Hospital.

Bringing classic and new stories to life, while supporting children and their families to connect – trained storytellers read to babies, children and young people, provide group sessions in playrooms and one-on-one story time at the bedside.

It builds confidence, boosts imagination, develops language and creativity, introduces new cultural experiences, strengthens literacy, and helps children better understand the world during their hospital stay. Young patients often report feeling happier, more relaxed, less stressed, and less lonely as a result of Storytelling.
