Time to Draw is a booklet of creative activities for Newcastle Hospitals staff and patients, produced biannually by artist duo, Foundation Press – inviting staff and patients to draw for pleasure, to pass the time, to play, and to bring calm in the moment.

Each issue and the activities within are created through engagement with staff and patients, and designed to be completed anywhere, whether that be a hospital bed, workstation or canteen table; all that is needed is a pen or pencil to imagine your way through the pages.

Creative practice, such as drawing can help reduce biological stress markers and support flow state process, which can contribute to sustaining healthier lives. Time to Draw booklets are distributed widely across trust sites, supporting an increasing number of staff and patients to participate in creative activities.
