Visual arts installations for hospital environments
The art in hospitals environment strand of our arts programme helps to produce therapeutic hospital environments through creative interventions – including commissions and site-specific visual arts installations, in clinical, public and staff areas.
We work in collaboration with Newcastle Hospitals Estates teams, to ensure projects are aligned to trust refurbishments and capital projects as well as developing our projects with staff and patient groups to ensure long-term relevance.
Considerate design of the hospital environment has been proven to improve patient recovery times, reduce violence and support staff wellbeing.
