Newcastle Hospitals Charity congratulates Q Factor Award 2024 winners

Nicola said: “To win the 2024 Q Factor Award was a great endorsement of the work so far and a positive boost to the team. We intend to use the money to integrate a prospective customised patient feedback tool into the clinic to further direct service development.”

Runners-up at the awards also received £500 to support their projects. Among the runners up were Clare McGarry and Fiona Cook with their presentation: “Developing a Nurse-led TB Clinic” and Abby Cassells-Smith and Joseph Taylor for their presentation: “Improving the management of adult patients receiving emergency hyperkalaemia treatment at NuTH”.

The awards also had a poster presentation prize, this year going to James Holt for his poster on improving access to vital treatment information for people receiving prostate radiotherapy.
The event’s guest speaker was Vice President for the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Pedro Delgardo.

He gave the audience his insight in his presentation: “Improvement Lessons and Stories from Around the World”.
