Funding projects that benefit patients and their families
We are the official charity of Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We make a positive difference to the health and wellbeing of trust patients, staff and communities.
We raise funds for lifechanging projects including the purchasing of equipment, the funding of specialist roles, arts initiatives, and to further enhance the exceptional quality of care that the trust provides.
The charity funds projects that benefit our patients and their families. We support the wellbeing and development of our staff, aid pioneering clinical research and engage our local communities.

Our supporters
Behind every charity are the legions of volunteers, fundraisers and supporters.
We are always humbled by, and grateful to, the people who choose to support our charity. Behind every volunteer and every donation is a personal story – many of which make us laugh, cry and be inspired – and the difference our supporters make for hospital patients and their families, visitors and trust staff is priceless.
There are also many independent charities supporting our patients, staff and communities every day along with our volunteers who do a fantastic job whether it be helping patients and visitors with way finding or selling charity merchandise in our retail spaces.
Learn moreCase study: Olly McKenna and ‘Team Olly’
At age eleven, Olly was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour. While undergoing surgery and treatment at The Royal Victoria Infirmary, Olly worked with hospital staff to learn how he could support the pre-teen cancer ward, inspiring him to set up the ‘Team Olly’ fund to help pre-teen cancer patients.
In the proceeding years, he has amassed over £88,000 through a variety of fundraising events and rallying for donations – with the dream of raising £100,000 for the Great North Children’s Hospital.
